Batteries

Batteries and chargers are not included, except for the Pathfinder two box which has a pre-installed lithium ion pack.

We do not recommend any specific brands. 

All Nexus products should use high quality, rechargeable Nickel metal hybrid (nmh) 2500 milliamp (mA) or higher AA batteries for optimal performance. 
You can choose to use non-rechargeable batteries. 

Charger
For standalone rechargeables, any 10 bay charger for AA batteries. 
For charging the batteries through the charging port on the detector, any charger with a 2.5 mm pin and voltage no higher than 14.2 - 14.5.

We do not recommend lithium ion batteries for our products (except Pathfinder). The start up voltage may damage circuitry.

Do not use Zinc batteries.

Trouble shooting

• If the batteries drain too fast, the battery quality may be low or the battery test toggle switch may have remained in on position.
• If the detector power doesn't seem to be inadequate, there may be a single cell which is either low quality or not properly charged.
• Make sure the batteries are in good connection.
